- Combined with extensive experience in understanding business, economics and finance mentoring from start-up’s to CEO’S with £1million + turnover.
- Personal experience in taking products from concept to market, finalising Academic Testing, Design, Patent & Trademark protection plus negotiating licensing deals internationally. Denise has had the pleasure of being the partner in developing a product that was both exhibited in the prestigious Glasgow Science centre, obtained a secured patent, trademark & design rights plus successfully won a Trademark challenge with Google.

ABOUT
Founder
Denise has two passions in life design and business, she is a creator and a passionate advocate for entrepreneurship. Brought up in a family business in manufacturing & engineering Denise was constantly surrounded by business people, developing a passionate lifelong interest in studying entrepreneurs and enterprises.
Shortly after graduating from Edinburgh College of Art with a B.A. Honours in Design she established her 20 year business in the contract management, design & supply of uniforms. Capitalising on her unusual comprehension of business and creative skills she created a unique turn-key business model. This successfully won longterm contracts and relationships with large public sector institutions and international private companies i.e Bacardi Group-John Dewars, A.G.Barr, Morris Furniture Group, multiple Housing Associations & Councils etc.
In 2010 Denise began looking for a new business challenge that would allow her to utilise her textile product design skills. As a first project she designed the Toty Travel System and partnered with her husband to design his exer-gaming fitness product the ‘Shoogle’.
As a self financed project the Shoogle became a priceless lesson in business and the motivation for writing the Designovation Philosophy business book series; The Entrepreneur; White Ball Thinking & The Enterprise; Black Box Thinking. The experience provided a unique insight to the real challenges facing new business start-ups in Scotland from sourcing finance, support & taking a new innovation to market. In particular she received an education in I.P. from the challenges of negotiating an international licensing deal, securing a patent and academic testing to winning a trademark challenge from Google.
Denise has a genuine passion for empowering entrepreneurs and recently Denise was invited to work as a business mentor with the University of Strathclyde’s Business School & Herriot-Watt University with their government supported Help to Grow; Management program. Denise has worked individually with thirteen companies each with over £1 million+ turnover. The CEO’s have came from a diverse range of sectors working in the field of AI, Energy Storage Innovation, Farming, Marketing, Leisure, Tourism to Property Development. Over the years Denise has worked with a variety of bodies as a Business Mentor, Lecturer and Textile Advisor.
